Nail disorders are a specialized group of conditions that are often neglected during postgraduate teaching. This book aims to provide a comprehensive review covering the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of nail disorders. It discusses the basics of the nail unit, common conditions such as infections, tumors and genetic diseases, and the diagnostic armamentarium used in nail diseases, including KOH mount, onychoscopy and imaging. It also covers surgical management of nail diseases, including anesthesia of the nail unit, nail biopsy and advanced nail procedures, with video demonstrations of these procedures. The book elaborates on nails in systemic diseases and briefly covers nail cosmetics and nail photography.
